The Department of Genetics at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis and the Department of Developmental Biology recently hosted Microscopy Day at the Urban Girls Institute of the Sophia Project. The event was organized by Jim Skeath, Ph.D., Professor in the Department of Genetics, Tracey Hermanstyne, a postdoctoral fellow in the Herzog Lab in the Department of Biology at WashU, and Dawn Price, Executive Director of the Sophia Project. Haluk Lacin, Ph.D., a member of the Skeath Lab, and Gina Castelvecchi, Graduate Research Assistant at Washington University School of Medicine and Vice President at The BALSA Group, also participated in the event.
