presents, "The RASopathies: Too much, too little and getting to just right" Talk abstract: Noonan syndrome and the related disorders, now called the RASopathies, are phenotypically related traits arising from perturbations, largely engendering gain of function, in the RAS/mitogen-activated protein kinase signal transduction pathway. In this lecture, insights gained from phenotype-first and genotype-first studies of the RAsopathies will be provided as well as those from cell and animal model research, informing the development of mechanistic therapies for these genetic traits.…

Jessica Tollkuhn, PhD
Associate Professor
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory
presents, "Hormonal regulation of gene expression defines sex-variable biology" Talk abstract: My lab studies how nuclear hormone receptors modulate gene expression in the brain at single-cell resolution, and how this affects development of and activity within circuits that mediate specific behaviors. We anticipate that the hormone-regulated genes we have identified will contribute to established sex differences in the incidence and etiology of neurological and psychiatric disorders. Hosted by: Simona Sarafinovska, Din Selmanovic, and Genetics trainees & postdocs In-person only: Connor…
