Joseph Ippolito, M.D., Ph.D., Instructor in Radiology and a member of Dr. Jeff Milbrandt’s lab in the Department of Genetics, published a paper recently on visceral fat and tumor metabolism synergistically predicting sex-specific survival in renal cell carcinoma patients. The paper, “Synergy of Sex Differences in Visceral Fat Measured with CT and Tumor Metabolism Helps Predict Overall Survival in Patients with Renal Cell Carcinoma,” appears in Radiology.
