The Milbrandt Lab had a paper published recently in Molecular Neurobiology. The paper, “DLK Activation Synergizes with Mitochondrial Dysfunction to Downregulate Axon Survival Factors and Promote SARM1-Dependent Axon Degeneration,” was published in collaboration with the DiAntonio Lab. Daniel Summers, Ph.D., a former postdoc in the Milbrandt Lab and Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Iowa, is first author on the paper. Jeff Milbrandt, M.D., Ph.D., the James S. McDonnell Professor of Genetics and head of the Department of Genetics at Washington University School of Medicine, and Aaron DiAntonio, M.D., Ph.D., Alan A and Edith L Wolff Professor of Developmental Biology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, are senior authors on the paper.
