Jennifer Wang, PhD
Assistant Professor
Department of Biology
Washington University in St. Louis

April 13 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

presents, “Fitting the pieces together: how cells make centrosomes and cilia”

Talk abstract: The Wang lab studies how the architecture of organelles is created, and how architecture relates to cellular function and physiology. We are particularly interested in centrosomes and cilia, conserved organelles involved in cell division, signaling, and motility. I will discuss our work on a unique architectural element of centrosomes, the triplet microtubules, as well as our work on centrosome and cilia architecture in olfactory sensory neurons.

Hosted by:  Dr. Tychele Turner
