 ium</p><p>Abstract: Microbiomes serve as key environmental factors in many 
 aspects of animal health and disease\, but underlying mechanisms are incomp
 letely understood. My lab uses complementary gnotobiotic zebrafish and mous
 e model along with functional genomic and physiological assays to discern m
 icrobial contributions to digestive health and disease. This seminar will f
 ocus on our recent findings in the zebrafish identifying conserved mechanis
 ms by which host-microbe interactions affect gut-brain communication and di
