 es the biophysical mechanisms of transcriptional regulation and alternative
  mRNA splicing. To do this we use massively parallel reporter assays and ma
 chine learning/AI methods to measure and mechanistically model the quantita
 tive effects that mutations in regulatory sequences have on gene expression
 . I will provide an overview this research program\, focusing in particular
  on the tightly knit combination of experimental\, computational\, and math
