  cause of death\, and diabetes enhances susceptibility and severity of hear
 t failure. Epidemiological studies support the hypothesis that poor glycemi
 c control\, even after corrected\, impacts disease pathology. We will discu
 ss evidence for glucose-mediated regulation of the transcriptional changes 
 that are associated with pathological cardiac remodeling in this context.</
