al regulation is central to much of biology and involves vast and poorly un
derstood networks of interactions between proteins\, DNA\, and RNA. I will
discuss new fluorescence imaging tools that I am developing to study these
interactions in live cells. In particular\, I will describe proximity-assis
ted photoactivation (PAPA)\, a new method that has allowed us to visualize
specific endogenous protein complexes in single-molecule imaging.</p>
