Fritz Sedlazeck, PhD Associate Professor Human Genome Sequencing Center Baylor College of Medicine
presents, “Genomic Structural Variations and beyond 1”
Hosted by: Dr. Peter Jin
In-person only: Connor Auditorium (FLTC)
Abstract:
In my talk I will review the latest methods around long read sequence analysis for structural variants and tandem repeats that provide new insights into biology and medical applications. These results include scalable and accurate resolution around structural variations with new insights into somatic/mosaic structural variations. Furthermore, I will introduce our novel tandem repeat caller and new insights into neurodegenerative diseases.
