Presents: Epigenetic Control of Neural Repair and Disease
Host: Dr. Tristan Li
In person only: Connor Auditorium (FLTC)
Abstract: Epigenetic regulation plays a pivotal role in neurological diseases, tissue regeneration, cancer, and aging by modulating gene expression without altering the underlying DNA sequence. I will discuss the epigenetic control of oligodendrocytes and microglia in the context of myelin repair and its implications for neurodegenerative diseases, including multiple sclerosis, autism, and CHARGE syndrome.
