Talk Title: Seeing RNA Biology in Action in Human Tissue Development and Disease
Abstract: This talk explores the paradigm shift in human biology research enabled by the recent development of spatial multi-omics technologies. I will discuss how these platforms, such as those developed in my lab, including Patho-DBiT, overcome historical limitations in studying archival clinical FFPE tissue specimens by co-mapping the total RNA transcriptome, epigenome, proteome, and metabolome directly within complex tissue structures in patients. Finally, I will demonstrate how these tools decode tumor architecture and RNA regulatory networks in clinical FFPE samples, ushering in a new era of precision health and mechanistic discovery.
