Presents: Epigenetic editing for the study of addiction
Host: Dr. Gabor Egervari

Abstract: The Heller Lab studies the gene regulatory mechanisms that underlie psychiatric disease. We apply preclinical mouse paradigms of cocaine use disorder to define cell type specific gene regulation across drug abstinence to identify mechanisms that promote relapse or recovery. Using novel epigenetic editing tools, we regulate specific histone modifications and examine their causal relevance to transcription and behavior.
