Title: Translating Genetic Discovery into Medicine for Scoliosis
Abstract: Scoliosis is the most common musculoskeletal disorder of childhood, usually affecting adolescent girls. Using human genetic, vertebrate modeling, and multi-omic approaches we are uncovering pathways of spine development and homeostasis that may become therapeutic targets for the prevention of scoliosis.
