The afternoon will feature lectures consisting of two thematic areas. The first will focus on emerging technologies for understanding human genome functions. Speakers will discuss genomic technologies that include multi-omic analyses at a single-cell level, genome structure and function, and large-scale analysis of nucleic acid-protein interactions. The second area will focus on technologies for making and sequencing DNA and RNA. Speakers will discuss tools for manipulating and editing DNA, sequencing beyond natural bases, expanding studies of global genetic diversity, and translational control in mammals. The afternoon will culminate with a keynote address from Robi Mitra, PhD, the Alvin Goldfarb Professor of Computational Biology in the Department of Genetics and the Edison Family Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology at Washington University in St. Louis.
