Presents: “Watching gene regulation with new live imaging tools”
Hosted by: Dr. Barak Cohen
In-person only:  Holden Auditorium (FLTC)

Abstract:

Transcriptional regulation is central to much of biology and involves vast and poorly understood networks of interactions between proteins, DNA, and RNA. I will discuss new fluorescence imaging tools that I am developing to study these interactions in live cells. In particular, I will describe proximity-assisted photoactivation (PAPA), a new method that has allowed us to visualize specific endogenous protein complexes in single-molecule imaging.
